Volunteer Call for Gladstonbury 2011

We are looking for lots of community support in most areas, including volunteers on the day to help out with the children’s tent, the treasure hunt, litter patrol, managing gate access from Kendal Road and the Dollis Hill Lane car park for stall holders etc. The event is open from noon until 6pm and we’re looking for volunteers from 7.30am through until 9pm.

I know we’ve all got busy lives but it would be great to get as many locals as possible involved, even if for a couple of hours, your help would be most welcome.

If you would like to support the event by volunteering on 19 June, please drop Maria an email or give her a call on 07752 253892 so that we could discuss your preferred areas, what hours you are able to cover and agree a suitable role for your capability and availability. Please also feel free to forward this to any friends, neighbours or family members who you think would like to get involved – the more the merrier!

Gladstone Park stallholder bookings

Calling Voluntary community organisations, local charities, local crafts groups and local commercial organisations.

We would like a variety of stalls at this years event as they are always a very important and popular part of any community event. We’re told by visitors that they really love the stalls at Gladstonbury and in some years that there haven’t been enough!

This year we anticipate a footfall of about 5000 people. We will be sending publicity leaflets to all the houses around the park and inform local schools of our event. We also hope to get publicity in the local press & radio community websites and Brent magazine.

Please contact Antonia Armstrong for further information about stall holder bookings.

This year is the 10th Anniversary of the Gladstone Park annual event. The community are coming together to put on a fun packed day, drawing on all the best elements of the past years and featuring the talents of local residents, schools and clubs. We are planning to bring together the community around the park and to create a celebration of fun and creativity for all. As this day also celebrates Fathers Day we will have various Family focus activities and happenings throughout the day to make this a very special occasion.

A Sunday Community Funday

This will also feature a wonderful entertainer with magic, stunts, music and comedy, complete with his own travelling Theatre Royal. We will also have bouncy castles, face painting, rugby, football games and of course the ever popular, Woofstock dog show and much more. The George Irvine funfair will also be in the park.
